Review for Contracts & Cats

Contracts & Cats is THE ultimate cozy, book-lovers fantasy. It has everything human, dragon, fae, and more. If you can think it- this book probably has it, though it is done tastefully and with a structure that just makes sense.

So many times I got the “yes! This is right” chills that just energized my reading even more. Sable is the right parts curious, courageous, kind, and contrasting to The Cat who has more personality in one paw than many people I know in real life. I’m invested in all of our characters and am fully immersed in this world of worlds. The found-family aspect is heartwarming and relatable and makes the reader feel that they belong there too.

When I say I must have book two- it’s less of a “must-have” and more of a “need” - as without it, I may simply waste away in longing. Thank you, Toni for writing such an engaging, immersive, and interesting introduction to this world. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Review for Keeper & Kindred

K&K is a much anticipated continuation of the magic that is Contracts & Cats. We get to catch up with a wisening Sable, a thawing Cat, and a growing Indigo to see just how this chosen family grows together, and individually. This cozy magical tale spans worlds and time to prove just how much believing in yourself and others can change the threads of fate.

I found myself smiling through the adventures and rooting for these friends as they traverse new experiences. Also, waffles and bacon anyone?
